The Philippine Province of the Passion of Christ celebrated 50 years of Passionist presence in the Philippines with a nine day celebration, from February 19-28, 2008, on the Island of Mindanao, where missionaries from the Province of St. Paul of the Cross (USA) first arrived in 1958. Thousands of lay people, religious and Passionists from Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, Rome and North America joined in the celebration.
