Father Richard Burke, a native of Dunkirk, N.Y., was born Nov. 15, 1949 to the late William and Maude Burke, one of five children. Ordained on May 13, 1976, he has ministered as a retreat team member and director, associate director of pre-novitiate seminarians and brothers, master of Passionist novices and associate formation director of Passionist students preparing for perpetual profession and/or ordination. Currently he is rector of St. Ann’s Monastery and Basilica. During these past 12 years, he has also participated in tribunal ministry and preaching parish missions and retreats.
