Fr. Robin Ryan, C.P.

Father Robin Ryan, a native of Richmond, Va, was born Feb. 26, 1956 to the late Thomas and Vivian Ryan, the youngest of eight children. He was ordained on June 6, 1984 with much of his ministry involving the theological formation of men and women preparing for ministry. He also has authored a number of essays and dictionary articles related to the themes of God and human suffering, young adults and the church, Christology, and ecclesiology. Father Ryan was an associate professor of Systematic Theology at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago as well as director of “Catholics on Call,” CTU’s national vocation discovery program for young adults. He is the editor of a new book entitled, Catholics On Call: Discerning a Life of Service in the Church and God and the Mystery of Human Suffering: A Theological Conversation Across the Ages, published by Paulist Press.
